He is a member of the Accredited Gemologists Association and earned the title (Accredited Senior Gemologist) in 1989.

Matthew is a Certified Insurance Appraiser (C.I.A.), specializing in jewelry, diamonds, gemstones and timepieces.

Matthew is a proud member of the G. I. A . Alumni Association.
He is the past Vice President and Treasurer for the G. I. A . Alumni Associations Florida Chapter from 1989 - 1994 and the past President for the G .I .A . Alumni, South Florida Chapter from 1995 - 1999.
